About Us

Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojna Parishad (HSSPP) is a society registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 which is primarily responsible to implement Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) in Haryana State.

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is Government of India's flagship programme for achievement of Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE) in a time bound manner, as mandated by 86th amendment to the Constitution of India making free and compulsory Education to the Children of 6-14 years age group, a Fundamental Right.

The Government of India has launched, in 2007, a centrally sponsored scheme, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), for universalisation of access to and improvement of quality at the secondary and higher secondary stage and is aimed at expanding and improving the standards of secondary education - classes IX and X. The RSMA would also take secondary education to every corner of the district by ensuring a secondary school (up to class X) within a radius of 5km for every neighborhood.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Haryana – An Overview

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) was launched in the State of Haryana in April 2002, though it was started in the year 2001-02 with its pre-project activities. SSA is an effort to universalize elementary education by way of community ownership of the school system. It is a response to the demand for quality basic elementary education all over the State.

Objectives: SSA is being implemented in partnership with the Centre and the State to cover all states and union territories. The programme seeks to open new schools in those habitations which do not have schooling facilities and strengthen existing school infrastructure through provision of additional classrooms, toilets, drinking water facilities and grants to schools. SSA has a special focus on girls' education and children with special needs.
