Team from Odisha visit Haryana
After Tamilnadu now SPD RMSA, Govt. of Odisha visited schools running applied learning
courses under CCS NSQF Programme in Haryana. He visited Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School
Sushant Lok, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Gurgaon, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Jacumpura and
Govt. Sr. Sec. Schools Daultabad where applied learning courses in Beauty & Wellness,
Automobile, IT/ITes, Retail, Patient Care Assistant in integration with academic
stream have been introduced. He had also detailed interaction with State level team
which made a detailed presentation and also briefed Odisha team about steps taken
to implement programme successfully. He was highly impressed with the performance
and the work done from grass root to state level. The experience shared by Haryana
would be of great value to Odisha Govt. in implementing the similar project in their
state from ensuing academic session.

Innovation in Skilling Students - Haryana Does it
Haryana Govt. has taken pride of being the first state in the country in the implementation
of centrally sponsored scheme of NSQF (National Skill Qualifications Framework).
Haryana has also become the first state in the country where students from 40 Govt.
senior secondary Schools have graduated L-4 in Applied Skills (Retail, Auto, IT/ITeS,
Security) along with 10+2 at School level this year. Now 07 Applied Skills namely
Retail, Auto, IT/ITeS, Security, Beauty & Wellness, Physical Education & Sports
and Patient Care Assistant (02 in each Schools) in 240 Govt. senior secondary Schools
stand introduced reaching 25000 students till date. The plan is to expand it to
cover additional Schools with more Applied Skills from next year. The objective
is to enhance the employability skills of our students.
Mrs. Smriti Zubin Irani Hon'ble HRD Minister, MHRD Govt of India has appreciated
the efforts of Haryana Govt. in the following words:-
âÂÂDuring my review of the Sectorial programmes, I have found that Haryana has
undertaken path breaking work in Vocational Education where the first set of students
who have undergone these courses are much in demand in the job market. This is a
feature that we will recommend to other states as well.âÂÂ

Army Motivating Students of Applied Skills (Security) in GMSSS, Sirsa.
On 26/11/14 a cycle expedition of Army was going through Sirsa organised by Unit
of Signal Corps of Bathinda. A personal intervention was made by Vocational Teacher
Security as well as the School Principal requesting them to address the students
of GMSSS, Sirsa.
Army personnel came to the school and addressed the students who have taken up Security
Skills, under NSQF Project and other students of classes 10+1 & 10+2 about roles
and responsibilities of Army, career in Defence Forces and how they can join.
They also told the students in detail about the Defence Services, their pay, ranks,
and other benefits in joining the Defence forces.

NSQF Student won First Prize at Distt. Level Science Exhibition held from 10/11/2014
to 11/11/2014 at Saraswati Sen. Sec. School, Jagadhri on Information Technology
and Communication
A Block level Science Exhibition was organised at GMSSS Chhachhrauli, Distt-Yamuna
Nagar on 18th Oct, 2014. IT/ITeS students had also participated in the exhibition
on Information Technology and Communication. Our Students made following 04 Projects/Models
in this exhibition:-
- File Sharing Model - 12th Class (Vandana & Pooja)
- E-Banking System Project Presentation - 11th Class (Akshay & Jagmohan)
- Web Site Making in HTML - 11th Class (Rupinder & Himani)
- Printer Sharing Model - 12th Class (Uma & Ritu)
These two finalists participated at District level Science Exhibition held from
10/11/2014 to 11/11/2014 at Saraswati Sen. Sec. School, Jagadhri on Information
Technology and Communication and Miss Himaniof GMSSS, Chhachhrauli (IT/ITES) has
achieved the First position. District Education Officer (Sh.Uday Partap Singh) praised
the Student and School for this achievement. At the district level, she has been
rewarded with a Certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 1000/-. The District Education
Officer also appreciated the efforts of the Vocational Teacher (IT/ITeS), Mr. Balwinder
Kumar and awarded him a Certificate.

Haryana State Government, NSDC and its Sector Skill Councils along with its training
partners had conducted the placement drive for the NSQF Level 4 students from 20th
to 27th July, 2015. In four clusters viz. Faridabad, Gurgaon, Rohtak and Ambala,
students from 40 schools had participated for the placement and were catered by
18 recruiters including Dish TV (Manpower Group Services India Pvt. Ltd.), Eureka
Forbes, Maruti (Jagmohan Motors), Nisa, Swift Securitas, Competent Synergies, Concentrix,
Dr. ITM, Home Credit, WH Smith, Pizza Hut, Costa Cofee (Divyani International),
Mhire amongst others.215 candidates were offered jobs out of the 289 eligible aspirants.

Faridabad, GSSS Tikona Park Faridabad and Centre of Excellence at Faridabad and
where applied learning courses in Beauty & Wellness, Automobile, IT/ITes, Retail,
and Patient Care Assistant in integration with academic stream have been introduced.
They had also detailed interaction with State level team which made a detailed presentation
and also briefed Telegana team about steps taken to implement programme successfully.
